The most ridiculous thing I've seen the Onalaska Common Council consider in a long while. La Crosse mayor Tim Bankruptcy Kabat asking the city of Onalaska for $500,000 to reduce the tax burden on La Crosse taxpayers.
The fact that this ridiculous item has been on the agenda 4 or 5 times, and that laughter didn't erupt from the aldermen is troubling.
This item was pulled from the agenda because the liberal majority and the mayor were made aware that alderman Gjertson and myself would vote againest it!They had to have a 3/4 vote to pass it, so they had to wait until we were gone! The liberal majority were Alderman Jim Olson, Kim Smith, Diane Wulf and Jim Binash.
